1. Locates - The customer is responsible to request all "locates" prior to installation of tents. Deposits are forfeited if "locates" are not ready on the day of installation. Tents will NOT be installed for safety reasons if "locates" are not provided. Free Locates can be arranged by calling 1-800-400-2255. Once the installation has begun, the location cannot be changed without an extra charge.
2. Permits - The customer is responsible for any special permits required and assumes all charges for Par-Tee Rentals entry and exit to set-up location.
3. Measurements - The customer is responsible for the correct measurements and placement of tents, tables/chairs. Refunds will NOT be given for improper measurements, or lack of enough overhead clearance for a safe installation to take place. Overhead clearance MUST be at least 17 feet from trees, power lines, etc. Site inspections are available for a fee – please call and make an appointment.
4. Prohibited Uses - No Smoking or Cooking of any kind is allowed under or near our tents for safety reasons. NO tape, pins, staples, sharp objects, or crepe paper may be placed on our tents, tables or chairs anywhere. The customer shall be charged for any damage to our equipment, or any cleaning fees, while it is in the customers care. The customer will agree to pay any damages should these rules not be followed. The customer will pay for equipment damaged beyond repair at "replacement cost".
5. Waiver of Claim - Par-Tee Rentals is not responsible, nor liable for any damage to underground sprinkler lines and/or utility lines. The Customer agrees to assume the risks of and hold Par-Tee Rentals harmless for property damage and personal injuries caused by equipment and/or arising out of customers negligence. The Customer waives all claims for personal injury, property damage to the transported equipment, loss of time or inconvenience arising out of the use of the equipment.
6. Receiving - An adult must be present for a delivery to specify where equipment is to be placed, contract signature and payments in full of any balance owing. Accounts are due and payable at the commencement of the rental period, or on delivery.
7. Loading & Unloading - Customer is responsible to provide easy access to location site of Par-Tee Rentals vehicles. Failure to provide such easy access may result in no installation and full charges will apply. Deliveries and pick-up shall be at Par-Tee Rentals convenience. Specific times may not always be given. Customer must ensure there is clear access to the delivery area, or additional charges may apply. If delivery is to be made up stairs, prior arrangements must be made and additional charges may apply.
8. Deposit & Cancellation - A 50% deposit of total rental is required at the time of the reservation. The deposit is non-refundable. In order to reserve equipment, a contract will be sent out to the customer and once this has been returned with your deposit, your item(s) will be reserved. A signed contract with deposit is the only way to reserve equipment. All deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations of an order will result in the forfeit of any deposit. Cancellation within 14 days of the event will result in the customer being charged 50% of the rental contract. If the cancellation takes place within 7 days or less of original rental date – full charges will apply. Outstanding payments will be paid upon delivery and set-up. Delivery charges will apply for out of town events.
9. The balance is due when we arrive to set up, or when the customer picks up at the store - Payments may be made by cash, Visa, Master Card, Debit or certified cheque (personal bookings) or cheque for companies and/or organizations. For credit card payments, arrangements must be made prior to our employees delivering items. For debit payments, these must be made in person at the store.
10. A credit card must be given for a security deposit on all rentals.
11. Failure To Pay - Upon failure to pay, or other breach of contract, Par-Tee Rentals may terminate the contract and take possession of and remove equipment from wherever it is installed. Par-Tee Rentals and their agents shall not be liable for any claims for damage or trespass, arising out of the removal of the equipment. Returned cheques are subject to an extra collection fee. If customers are sent to Collection for outstanding payments, they will be charged an additional collection fee.
12. Pricing - All prices quoted are subject to GST & PST charges. Prices are quoted for grass installations only. For asphalt or crushed stone installations, add an additional 15%.
13. Under no condition shall the Customer move a tent once our staff has installed it, or Customer will be responsible for damages incurred by such tent.
14. Table and chair prices do not include set-up - If you require these services, please make arrangements prior to the delivery. Additional charges apply for this service. All tables and chairs must be neatly stacked at the delivery location for pickup, or additional charges will apply.
15. All tables and chairs must be kept under a tent, or kept out of the weather - Our tables and chairs must NOT get wet, or damage fees WILL be charged to the customer.
16 All silverware, dishes and glassware items should be stacked and ready for pickup according to instructions. If items are not ready as instructed for pickup, then extra fees can apply. Damaged or shorted items will be charged to the customer at replacement cost.
17. If a customer is returning items, they must be back on the date and time specified or extra fees will apply.
18. Table linens should be counted and returned in laundry bag(s) provided - Never mix wet and dry linens and NEVER place linen in a garbage bag. Mildew damage may result and the customer will be charge for damages.
19. Damaged linen (burned, lost, torn, wax, snagged, mildew, stained, etc.) - or shortages upon return will be charged back to the customer at replacement cost. Never drag linen on a cement floor as staining occurs and the customer will pay replacement costs.
20. We do not rent our linen to establishments that allow smoking - NOTE, our tents are non-smoking structures (no BBQ’s either) according to the Fire Marshal. The customer must enforce this bylaw, as customers will be responsible for any fines and/or damages, as the result of smoking under or around our tents and equipment.
21. Please keep table skirting separated and return on the hanger provided or in the bin it was delivered.
22. Count your items and look for missing items before you return - Customers will be charged for missing, damaged and shorted items. No exception.
23. DO NOT use crepe paper, tape, staples, pins, etc. on our tents, tent walls, tables, chairs, etc - Customers will be charged damage fees – no exceptions.
24. Tent sides must be installed with two people to avoid grass stains and damage - Customers dropping tent walls onto the ground will be charged for cleaning and/or damage fees at cost.
25. Customers must read their contract carefully to ensure dates and times are correct - We will not be responsible if these have been communicated incorrectly.
